LOS ALUMBRADOS

Los Alumbrados is more than a name—it is a light kept alive. In pre-Hispanic Mesoamerica, people gathered around the fire to share stories, dreams, and fears. In ancient Spain, Alumbrados were seekers of hidden truths. Our tequila carries both meanings. The cruz engraved on every bottle is not of religion, but of convergence—crossroads between past and present, fire and soil, ritual and craft. It is a symbol of union, each drop speaks not of imitation, but of illumination.

Sr. Claudio César López Ramos:
Master Tequilero

"Yo no elegí el tequila. El tequila me eligió a mí."
("I didn’t choose tequila. Tequila chose me.")

Claudio César López Ramos, Master Tequilero and founder, grew up not just among agaves, but in the legacy of their cultivation. From restoring ancient tabernas in the barrancas of Amatitán to mastering barrels and bottles, he has carried forward the sacred duty of his ancestors. Today, he leads Los Alumbrados with the same conviction that shaped his lineage. “No hacemos botellas. Encapsulamos memorias.” His vision is clear: preserve authenticity, craft with devotion, and honor the soul of tequila through every detail.

THE LEGACY
THAT SETS US
APART

At Los Alumbrados, we are bound not by modern ambition, but by timeless devotion. Our lineage was forged in the first fermentations of agave by the native peoples of Amatitán—long before a single European set foot on this land. Our ancestors distilled not through conquest, but through communion with earth and spirit. Each cruz-shaped bottle is an artifact of this living tradition, distilling centuries of resilience, artistry, and soul into every sip. Each bottle reflects a history measured not in decades, but in centuries. When you hold Los Alumbrados, you hold a spirit that precedes borders, a craftsmanship untouched by time.

OUR FAMILY

Our origin is older than written time. In Amatitán, before conquest or crown, our ancestors nurtured agave under open skies, speaking the sacred language of the land. Since pre-Hispanic times, we have been here, and six generations have guarded this covenant:

We did not inherit a business. We inherited a sacred command: to keep alive the ancient pulse of the agave, whispered in the smoke of our ancient ovens and sealed into every bottle we create.
